Conventionally, this is where you find out lots of fascinating things about me. The bio. A short form of the "hero's journey." Embellished accomplishments compete for page space with an endless list of hobbies, like coin collecting or playing the harpsichord. There's barely room left for the extreme sports, including heli skiing and cave diving, to show my adventurous side. No, I don't participate in any of those.

Let's keep it simple. Most of the people showing up here, at least initially, are friends and family who already know me. For those who do not, I am a pre-middle aged father of two lovely daughters, husband of one rare gem of a woman, brother of a technical savant, and friend to many amazing people. My parents are no longer here but hold a special place in my heart and mind. As a founding member of a NYC-based hedge fund, I spent 15 years honing my skills as a researcher, analyst and investor in many different sectors. I have been a senior executive at a unique technology company for the last 2+ years.   This site is a result of my intellectual curiosity, love of reading (mostly non-fiction) and relentless search for the truth. Like everyone else in the world, I am holding one ticket for the ride called LIFE. A personal mentor reminds me that "happiness is a daily choice" therefore it is something I no longer chase. I believe this statement is almost invariably true for most, with the exception being cases of mental disorders where other influences play a role. Anyway, the journey continues.....
